Since 2015, the integrated school and daycare centre Campus Seestadt has provided the community with 12 kindergarten groups for over 230 children, an all-day elementary school with 17 classes, and 6 classes designed for over 450 children with special educational needs.
Thanks to the technical infrastructure of ASCR, the integrated school and daycare centre is a thermally self-sufficient building. Energy is generated by solar thermal and photovoltaic systems and heat pumps. In addition, heat is extracted from the exhaust air heated by people and technical equipment. This energy recovery process, in particular, has a high potential for savings.
